[he watches him do that-- and there's a flash in his eyes. maybe something akin to hesitance as he stares him down.

but it vanishes pretty quickly.]

Off, I can't afford to fix a broken prosthetic right now.

[He catches a glimpse of hesitation in Jason but-- ignores it. Either Jason would get over it, or he'd get it beaten out. Either way, there was no room for that in a spar.]

[honestly, he tries to ignore the hesitation, but it definitely shows up occasionally, when he could take a winning blow.]

[Griffin himself is less aggressive than normal. The two of them were still... feeling things out, so. Even without consciously meaning to, he's giving Jason more breathing room. He drops combos.

But winning didn't really matter right now - they both kind of knew that. This was just an outlet for the frustration, the anger and confusion. Something more physical than memory.]

[Griffin collapses to sit on the ground, panting as he tries to catch his breath.]
