THE LOST DAYS... Round 1.
It's all darkness.
The feeling of nothingness, of being nothing. Of not existing. You have no thoughts, you will never have any thoughts again. While that fact is not comforting, because you cannot be comforted anymore, it is true.
There's a certain rest to being... nothing. And to both knowing and not knowing, that your time is done.
So it's all the more unfortunate when you feel, because you shouldn't feel. And the feeling is burning in your lungs, which you shouldn't have. Because you are- or were- nothing.
And then, you inhale a desperate gasp of air and open your eyes...

Re: The Hotel
but freezes. why does it matter?
-- because it's not how she's supposed to go. not this sad, tangled up wasting away. nobody would be proud of someone who died like this.
She struggles harder, now, teeth grit, trying to use Rapunzel to force the plants to release her and recede. ]
Re: The Hotel
And take one more harm.
Re: The Hotel
[ she is going to try to pull the vines off of Cypress, at least—2d6+tough = 7 ]
Re: The Hotel
But their attachments still hurt, and so she takes 1 harm for the act.
As she does so, the rest of the flowers... start to wither, suddenly?
As though she was attacking... the source.
Re: The Hotel
... that didn't happen when you touched them before.
Re: The Hotel
that's interesting. like—all the flowers around them, or just on these specific tendrils... ]
No, it didn't...
[ she rubs her hands a little bit, wincing; there's a notable scar across one of her palms, like she caught a sword blow with her hand at some point long past. ]
Does that mean I can do it to the rest...?
Re: The Hotel
Re: The Hotel
Maybe. We may as well check.
Re: The Hotel
I guess—let's check to make sure it's taking, then...?
Let's head to the elevators and see if it's receding. I figure... if there are places significant to him, they'd be affected, so that'd be—Bad End, Wild City, future is now, avante...?
Re: The Hotel
Despair? Self-loathing? Deeply, in their bones. It is hard to imagine how much they hate themselves, and what they're willing to do to self-destruct, just to validate that feeling.
It's all too much, actually. It's hard to deal with.
Re: The Hotel
guess it's tuesday.
she sort of... stops in her tracks. maybe just—what is she doing, anyway.
2d6+cool = 5, rip ]
Re: The Hotel
7 on cool; grabbing shrike by the wrist to pull her along with her WE CAN WALLOW IN SELF-LOATHING LATER ]
Re: The Hotel
We should go back, probably, I mean—I mess up everything with Jason, anyway...
Re: The Hotel
Softly, slowly.
They are being hunted.
"Going so soon?"
When they turn around, they see Jason. But he looks... paler? Washed out. He's wearing BAD END clothes, and seems to have an odd green lilt to him.
"C'mon, where's the fun in that?"
Re: The Hotel
Re: The Hotel
...should it be Red Hood?
[ oh i guess we're. we're fighting now ]
Re: The Hotel
[but he shifts slightly to avoid the brunt, and yet, the red is bleeding down his arm.
And yet, that despair is overwhelming from him.]
I'm not exactly Jason, but I think I should be.
Re: The Hotel
pull her rifle off her back instead :\ ]
He's already insufferable half the time, he doesn't need to be worse.
Re: The Hotel
I mean, he's probably actually mad at me?
Re: The Hotel
[he shrugs, and then pulls out his own gun.]
So, wanna fuck around and find out?
Re: The Hotel
[ swiftly raises her rifle to her shoulder and fires off a shot; 11 Tough ]
Re: The Hotel
but it's a heart, and he's a concept, he doesn't have to act like he's taking any damage?
so watch out, as he fires back. With 10 tough.]
Ouch.
Re: The Hotel
startled, sort of reflexively reaching for her sword, as one does, but not really able to shake it off— ]
Why are we doing this, just kill me if that gets it out of your system—
Re: The Hotel
and at a 4 tough that ain't doing anything.
She shoves Shrike in, further ahead of her, hastily trying to follow while keeping herself mostly in Jason's aim. ]
It's nothing like that! Just go!
Re: The Hotel
[ she sort of stumbles— ]
What are you going to do—?
[ but also, she's doing as she's told, because ha ha what's a willpower right now ]
