THE LOST DAYS... Round 2.
It's all darkness.
The feeling of nothingness, of being nothing. Of not existing. You have no thoughts, you will never have any thoughts again. While that fact is not comforting, because you cannot be comforted anymore, it is true.
There's a certain rest to being... nothing. And to both knowing and not knowing, that your time is done.
So it's all the more unfortunate when you feel, because you shouldn't feel. And the feeling is burning in your lungs, which you shouldn't have. Because you are- or were- nothing.
And then, you inhale a desperate gasp of air and open your eyes...

Re: ... START
As for what's on him, he is allowed one reasonable tool from home.
Re: ... START
[Dirt though. Underground. Great. Real great.]
[He pulls out the knife to cut through the plush material, and he feels around for a board, see if any are at all weaker.]
[If there's none noticeably weaker to target, he'll go for a side board, to one part of the coffin, and work on sawing/stabbing a break into the wood to try and pull it open.]
[Going for a spot near his middle so he doesn't bury his face in dirt, but still easy to reach to try and get dirt spread out around him to try and get out.]
Re: ... START
So, the dirt collapses in the coffin. And now, he has 6 feet of dirt to climb up through. And his burning lungs remind him: the oxygen situation is not fixed.
Re: ... START
[He takes a deep breath and holds it. Time to use all those ocean dives for what they're worth. Its like swimming!]
[Through dirt.]
[He starts to push the dirt down, towards his legs, trying to lessen the load of what he has to dig straight through, just taking a breath when he has to do it, and only pushing out into the dirt when it feels like he can't reasonably push more into the coffin around him to try and escape.]
Re: ... START
And he feels himself starting to panic as his lungs continue to burn, but this time with dirt flavoring.
Take 2 harm. Do one more Act Under Pressure roll.
Re: ... START
[That's a 13 as he works harder to get out, pull out of this place, get out, get out, get out, he's sucking in no air at this point-]
Re: ... START
Which is appropriate, because you find yourself in a dully lit graveyard. In the distance, you can see what must be the glow of a city, obscured by soft rolling hills. And there are paths through the graves for grieving families. But none of those families are here. You are alone.
And you are confused, and desperate, and not even entirely sure what just happened, as a dull dumbness takes over your mind from untreated wounds and brain damage and--
Then the feeling vanishes. You hadn't realized it wasn't your own feelings until that moment.
There is a gravestone behind you. And you can see a path leading out of the cemetery.
Re: ... START
[But then there's night sky and he claws himself out with one last burst of adrenaline, and pulls himself out of the hole, coughing and hacking out dirt, until he can take a clean breath of air.]
[And just]
[Lay on his side for a minute as he gets his lungs to not burn. Before using the inside of his shirt to wipe away some of this access dirt form his face.]
[....]
[It takes about ten minutes before he pushes himself up, because he almost died, but there is]
[Something he has to do. He has work to do, and near death experiences aren't enough to stop him.]
[He looks around and]
[Looks at the gravestone. What even is this???]
Re: ... START
Re: ... START
[Good gods, because he at least understands a grave marker if it says something like that.]
[Why would anyone BURY their dead, so weird.]
[He is going to push himself to his feet, brushing off dirt and he'll take a look around. For anything else that seems different or a person or anything like that.]
Re: ... START
The dirt seems to head in this direction.
