Griffin's immediate reaction is to bristle, muttering,] What the fuck's wrong with your family...

[First the thing with Talon, now their 'enemies'? Is this the mafia?? Why didn't they protect Jay??? That's what family is supposed to do.

Yet another reason why he's so adverse to the idea of family. And dying. It all tracks. Still, Griffin couldn't help but feel a simmering, defensive anger on Jay's behalf. Huff.]

And Roy is a genius. But he's also extremely stupid.

[that's his best friend, and unlike talking about his family? talking about Roy gets some pretty open fondness from him, even though he only has one memory.
