[he pulls his other hand free, and holds it up, staring at the red marks for a moment. he needs the time to let the relief of having access to his hands again wash over him, the panic and paranoia he didn't even know he had can dissipate and fade to a more normal level.

then he looks over at griffin, aware that he looks a mess, and his words hit him and-- because of the sex. he's saying that because of the sex, though his memories are clouded with lust and a haze of pleasure.

and a half smile appears on his lips. it's fine.]

You have fun?

[Griffin, contented, lies down next to him and nuzzles his face into the crook of Jay's neck. It's so rare to see Jay so disheveled, that he can't help but comb his hand through his hair, just to slick it back, out of his face.]

Yeah.

...You really were hot like that, y'know.

[he notes-- and sort of appreciates that. the brushing of his hair out of the way. even though he could do it on his own. his head tilts lightly as he absorbs what Griffin's saying to him.

that he was hot.

the second time this has come up, and he still isn't sure if he's imagining the right way to parse that. so, he responds with what he expects griffin wants to hear?]

You said that. It'd be awkward if you didn't think that, after laying me up like that.

[he pauses for a moment, and tilts his head against griffin's, just slightly, sticking his opposite hand back behind his head. he wasn't sure, still, about giving up his ability to move his hands, but... he felt like he owed griffin this, after doing so badly at the cuddles last time.]

[Griffin breathes out a weak chuckle, still high on the vision of Jay underneath him. That was a memory he wanted to keep to himself for his nights alone. Fondly, he reaches over to hold Jay's wrist, massaging his hand gently to get his bloodflow back.]

'Cause it's true. Was it...

[Sheepish, he bites his lip. It felt stupid to ask. But he had to make sure, after everything Jay did for him,]

Was it good for you?

[he watches him, lets him pull his hand, though his eyes inevitably go to the lines from his grappling hook. there's a slight pause.

and then he kisses the top of his head,]

Yeah.

[Ah.

That one word was enough to make Griffin glow with gladness and relief. Smiling stupidly wide, he returns the kiss with one on the cheek for Jay.

Pure, quiet gratitude colours his voice as he nuzzles close,]

Thanks. For trusting me.

Mm...

[he pauses, his eyes not quite leaving those lines.]

... I don't know if I'd want to do that again, though. At the very least-- just you, got it?

[His smile takes on a bit of a guilty tinge, but - he nods, in understanding.]

Okay. It's-- not for everyone.

[Jay did this for me. Just me. That thought weighs on him as Griffin takes in his face again. He cups his cheek, reassuringly.]

You tried it. That... means a lot already.

[he nudges him.]

Knock off the guilty look. I can decide to do or not to do stuff on my own.

[he's... trying to communicate. don't let that ruin this.]

[Griffin shoots him a mock pout]

Fine - I regret nothing and I'm gonna daydream about it later.

Fair.

If it was that hot, it'd be a shame if you forgot it.

[irreverence is a coping strategy.]

Wish you coulda seen it. The view was gorgeous.

[A beat, then - glancing away, he adds,]

You can still tie me up though. If-- if you wanted.

[would he tie up griffin? when he considers how off he felt being tied up? he might, if Griffin wanted it.

which it seemed like he did.]

Okay.

Did you get some of that aggression out?

[He closes his eyes with a smile, amused at the notion that he could feel anything with blissful in this afterglow.]

Do I look aggressive right now?

No.

[he admits openly.]

You look ready to pass out, actually. In which case...

[time to grab the last book on his night stand.

Something about electromagnetic theory and machinery.]

Wow. I don't pass out that quickly...

[he's savouring the moment, it's different.]

[he glances at him, but doesn’t say anything to that. He’s just going to start reading. Especially as long as Griffin’s eyes are closed.]

[Whatever. He wasn't awake enough to properly cuddle last time, so he's just gonna enjoy keeping Jay here while he could.]

[look, he’ll read for about 20 minutes, long after he thinks Griffin is asleep.

And lightly brush his hand through his hair absently, in light repetitive motions. While he doesn’t stop reading.

As evidenced by how he still turns pages every few minutes.]
