[Yeah, no arguments allowed. Nero hefts him back to the bed and sets him down on it.]

[he sighs, and gives him a slightly amused look, the pain taking a back seat to his motherhenning.]

Now you're already paying me back.

[Nero shoots him a look of, you shut your beautiful smartass mouth I'm worried about you,]

How long does this usually last?...

Longer if I ignore it.

I wonder if ice would help...

[A Feint is already off to get some as the thought leaves his mouth.]

Or... something like that. Nothing's actually wrong.

[even if his body reacts like it is at first]

[Nero's brows furrow, frustrated by the lack of anything he could do about this.

Unable to offer anything more concrete, he takes Jason's hand and squeezes it. So at least he had something to clench onto through the pain.]

[he glances at Nero's hand, and exhales fondly.

dumbass.

but he was still trying-- and Jason squeezes his hand back.]

It's fine, it'll pass. One... more... thing to hold against the producers.

[Nero frowns, but. Sure, if that was the takeaway Jason wanted to have.

The Feint rushes back with a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a towel and tries to carefully press it against Jason's leg? Like, yeah this wasn't real pain, but maybe having that sharp coldness would take his mind off it a bit.]

Is that... helping at all??

[he considers him for a moment, studying him.]

I got a better idea, though.

[slowly, like he's still debating.]

[Oh... his face falls, but mentally, he sends the Feint away. Nero squeezes his hand a little tighter, though it's to steady his own worry.]

What is it...?

[... fuck it.

he finally just decides to go for it-- and pulls him in close.]

Pick up where we left off on the roof?

[Nero blinks, stunned - for a second, not sure what to do with Jason so close and both of them so awake and sober and private. On reflex, he opens his mouth to ask, are you sure???

But.]

[His conflicted expression softens. If Jason wanted it-- if he wanted him, then...

It was okay, right?

Nero sucks in a sharp breath, and it was Definitely Just Worry Over Jason's Pain and not a release of pent-up longing in his chest, squeezes his hand tight while his other goes to cup Jason's cheek - and kisses him.]

[that was softer than he expected. there had been soft touches here and there, when things weren't rough. but this wasn't them. it wasn't what he had in mind when he was thinking about it.

and so he moves into the kiss, his hand going to Nero's shirt to pull him closer, moving as the aggressor into the kiss, nipping at his lower lip.

this doesn't help with the pain either, but... it's distracting. and he wants it.]

[He both relaxes and grows bolder at once, sliding back into what felt familiar. Pressing back against Jason, he pushes him down onto the sheets and pins him there with his legs, straddling over the larger man. Nero's tongue probes his, his hunger renewed for that taste he hasn't had in-- what felt like forever.

He missed you so much, so much.]

[this didn't feel... bad. there's a gasp of pain that comes from being jostled, but before Nero can react, Jason's hand goes to his hair, grabbing the short strands, and angling his face.

Petulant.

Demanding.

he didn't care what his position was, and he knew that would just make him mad, though his tongue slides against Nero's, his mouth opening to him.

he missed this, too.]

[The tug of hair gets a soft growl from the back of Nero's throat, but he allows this - generously, out of consideration for his invisible wound - and rakes his hand through Jason's hair in return. His nails dig into his scalp, just so it was still clear who he belonged to.

Nero's tongue fights against his, and every time a shiver of pain runs through Jason, he fills his mouth harder - focus on me and only me, I'm everything you need.]

[his hand is clinging into his shirt, breath hot against his lips, while he fights against the pain. and it's working-- Nero is the only thing he wants to focus on. he pulls back, only when he needs to catch his breath, inhaling deeply.

but there's a marked desire in his eyes]

[Nero is breathless himself, swept up in the sudden rush of emotion in his heart. Not just longing and starved out desire, but the urge to care for Jason too. All that avoidance, but now - he could actually be what he needed. Nero's eyes flutter as he pauses to lick his lips; his voice is husky.]

Is it helping?

[it's only a moment, but, he offers a half smirk.]

Not sure.

Might have to try harder.

[He smirks, with a hint of teeth - that's the cheeky bastard he adored.]

Bastard. I missed you so much...

[Nero dives in for another kiss, this time letting his hands grip Jason by the hips and grope their way upwards, beneath the hem of his clothes, hiking them up.]

[he bites his lip, and then almost immediately, desperately clings to him, trying his best to focus on his lips and not on the pain.

but maybe the pain just made everything about Nero sharper, reminded him to focus in on the feel and heat of his mouth, or the weight of his body.]

Missed you too.

[he mumbles before going back in for another kiss, his nails dragging along Nero's scalp, before sliding down to the hem of his shirt line too]

[His hand traces down the scar on Jason's chest, an approving hum in his throat, before gripping his pectoral with one hand and slipping another round his back.

It felt so good, just to know-- not only was he wanted, but his absence actually meant something to Jason. Something he couldn't just forget and throw away.

He wished so badly to say the words that captured what Jason meant to him. But he wanted to keep him more.]

Trying a massage now?

[he mumbles with a half smirk against his lips, when pain flashes across his face for a brief moment and he has to catch his breath.

it had to wear off soon. he wants it to wear off soon.

he forces himself to focus on Nero, instead, and his hands grip his hips, rather than sliding under his shirt.]
