It's all darkness.

The feeling of nothingness, of being nothing. Of not existing. You have no thoughts, you will never have any thoughts again. While that fact is not comforting, because you cannot be comforted anymore, it is true.

There's a certain rest to being... nothing. And to both knowing and not knowing, that your time is done.

So it's all the more unfortunate when you feel, because you shouldn't feel. And the feeling is burning in your lungs, which you shouldn't have. Because you are- or were- nothing.

And then, you inhale a desperate gasp of air and open your eyes...

[ well, she was most ??recently?? living in Los Angeles, so it's par for the course. she's not bad at blending in, not least because she uhhhh just wears all black, habitually.

although all the perspective shifts are a little unsettling. she starts heading toward the street. ]

The voice that comes behind her is-- pretty young? Like a child.

When she turns, she does see a kid about 14 years old.

"Uh, White Rose."

He pauses and shrugs. He looks positively bright and discongruous with the scenery.

"That's your call sign. I'm Robin," he says with an air of confidence. Like he's fully aware he's showing her the ropes.

"I'm directing people because everyone's too tired or fucked up."

He pauses.

"Though, uh, we don't know each other that great. That's weird."

Well, there's no time like the present to rectify that, of course, although you seem more familiar with me than I do with you, already.

"Y'know, used to be on BAD END, but I guess he really committed to the 'new team new life' bit. Anyway, I'm here to--"

He pauses, like something's just hitting him.

"Ah shit, Hood's trap was too good. I gotta go. If you see anyone green, don't trust them, got it?!"

He doesn't stick around to hear her answer, instead immediately running forward, launching his grappling hook to get leverage over the buildings and swing.
