His first impression is that he's 1) nosy (thanks, Balcony thread), but also curious? About a lot of things? And he likes that. It's a pretty normal reaction to have, and Jay is geared to have his defenses lower with children in general. And post-betrayal, he'll have an appreciation on why that's something that needs to be protected/nurtured. Since, uh. Betrayal was bad. He feels mostly numb after it, but he knows it was bad and he would've rathered it not be... well, a thing.
But the other thing he's noticed so far is he also doesn't necessarily have to go easy on Eclipse, either. He can keep up on his own. Jay just thinks he needs a solid mentor that can help foster abilities like that, while also not edging into "clearly, this kid is a mini-adult, with skills like that."
Eclipse's impressions of Jay?

His terms being trying to climb the balconies like a madman/woman. And that earned a lot of respect, because he wouldn't have blamed her for just taking one look at that and going, "No, not today. I think I will stay out here and cheer you on." So, that puts them on a different footing that the one that makes him personally nervous. And he could tell she'd never did this before-- so she was actually trusting him to not let her fall.
He was never going to let her fall, but he'd assumed she'd had some practice!
So, there was a sort of niceness/trust/accommodation in terms that he could instinctively understand. Which made her way less awkward to him than Cobalt (who he still totally took advantage of because he loves junk food, but I digress). And also earned a little bit of respect, which he is generally reserved with. So, he would want to talk to her again because at least she's sincere!

LET'S START WITH JAY since actually, he should be pretty short and sweet! Jay is still trying to figure Joker out. Like, I joked that he wrote "FUCKING IDIOT" in his notebook, AND THE DEFINITELY DID, but also he doesn't want to make too many assumptions here. Because Betrayal pushed Jay's buttons in ways he didn't expect either, and up to that point, he was frustrated with Joker because it always felt like "Oh yeah, one more thing I should tell you" and Jay has been basically hungry for information since he got there.
So it felt like Joker was just holding out-- or extremely forgetful. And after Betrayal, Jay has decided that the second option is more likely. He also, as much as he hates to admit it... thinks they could maybe? Get along? That maybe he'll trust him one day? Or at least he started to think that, before he failed and got him killed. And then mercy killed him and his girlfriend-- Joker was actually his snapping point, in that game! Pressed buttons he didn't know he had! And that's the shadow hanging over every interaction they had, both in game and out.
He's... just not sure what to make of Joker, and feels very unsettled by it all, though he saw flashes of the type of person he could get really attached to. But also. What is talking about Betrayal? That happened, and now it is done. We must all move on.
North is just. Man she's in a weird place, in that she very, very, very much loves Joker and would do anything to protect him and his unit from always dying, but also feeling a little strange and on the outside. She can't quite place it. (it's because i need to give her memories. wheeze. she's so short on memories.) But she knows she has a much more significant reaction to things because she's new? but it's a extra miserable because she can't relate to all the horror they've been through.
She doesn't even know where to start. She's trying her hardest, but she worries that if push comes to shove, will she even really be able to say she's actually on the PTs? That she's supporting everyone? It's a nagging insecurity in the back of her head, even though she wants to be close to them and to Joker. Made even more significant by realizing she-- she has a very, very negative reaction to seeing him die in that way. It was honestly the most miserable time she has had in any game, being locked in a room with his corpse for hours, while his murderers comforted each other? And it's what's tipped the situation with HSS from "grin and bear it" to... um, no, actually this is bad. This is real bad.
This is mental anguish, and thanks, she hates it. So, uh, nagging insecurity, and increasing horror over having seen him die, means she's feeling a little awkward, and a little clingy. I need to play that out. I want to play that out.
How about a reverse?

Though she does feel a little insecure about their relationship sometimes. She knows there isn’t as much history and time for them to be as close as Joker and Fox are to Prim, and she doesn’t know if she’s doing this right. It’s not so much jealousy but wondering if she’s measuring up the way she should? And if she can really fill a good spot that Prim needs, just like she needs the kindness.
She does want to go faster than they are. But also... betrayal has just happened and now, despite what she wants to do, she. Uh. Is scared of HSS. And she doesn’t want to admit that to Prim until she has to so... yeah...
But overall, feeling a little insecure! But very much still loving her GF.

But. More seriously, she loves North to death. They haven't said "love", but Prim knows that with more time and more trials together they will grow even closer.
Prim....always 100% wants the best for North, and she feels like every single time North gets hurt, the more she might failed in being able to save her the pain and suffering that SHE had to go through.
LOEV! THE! GF!
I'm thinking now that had they met inside the house, it would be a very different story for them. Because while Prim and Joker and Fox already had an agreement/kill pact. She didn't have TIME to even really discuss that sort of thing with North and if she'd killed her without any sort of preface....just....whew, would have been so much.....
ANYTHING YOU ARE EXCITED TO DO WITH NORTH!!!! do u wanna do a gf co-live with me??? ; o

But she still thinks she can protect him and help him in ways that he probably doesn’t recognize. And she sort of HAS zero after what a clusterfuck Hell was? She definitely hasn’t apologized for that enough in her mind yet. But she can make snap decisions when he’s overwhelmed, or go to bat for him when people are treating him like an adult.
And she can offer a pretty empathetic ear, since she’s naturally a very empathetic person. So he gets her at her trying to use her empathy the most because... well, he deserves it, even if she doesn’t know his whole background.

He will take it.
This is definitely still subject to change. He can change his mood based on a lot of different factors— like he definitely didn’t want to see anyone after Betrayal. And that included Bad End. And he would be extremely resistant to the type of wounds licking that... at least I know WC is doing right now. It’s just not how this feral cat operates.
Thorn’s first impressions on Jay?

He seems smart and self-sufficient, and that counts for a lot with Thorn.
There aren't any big red flags to put him on edge, and Jay seems like he's settling in okay with the unit, which is a definite plus point. He's reserving judgement until he sees how Jay operates in a warroom game, but so far, so good.
It takes Thorn a while to warm to new people and consider them friends, but they're moving in a good direction right now!

So let me move into Betrayal, since I think that is what has basically pushed their relationship in this new direction! She got him when the game was still basically a chill time for him, and so they were able to continue being snarky with each other, and I think they did more wandering the house than I expected? But then Silence attacked them and he killed her in self defense. He didn’t STRICTLY have to, but he already disliked her intensely and so had no reason to hold back. And he’s been trying to not get into his own head about “what the producers want.”
But when they got locked in the chapel for the night, he needed to act out because he has no good way of channeling his feelings and freak outs yet, and he is a very action focused person, compared to most of his brothers. And Silk joined? And that was, frankly, very hot. But also very endearing.
Which is why he half jokingly suggested making out in the confessional. But then she said yes? And they did that and had a good time? It’s definitely a good kind of stress relief for him as a teen/young adult. And he’s already very attracted to her. Right now, it’s definitely a very physical only thing. But if that ever changes... well. We shall see the context! But for now, she could probably get him to talk more than anyone else in game.

Silk warmed up to Jay pretty quickly, honestly. She tends to have a rough time with newbies because her inclination is to distrust people, but at the same time she remembers how hard it is being new and trying to figure out wtf is happening. So she often tries to be helpful but she is also cranky about it and doesn't always know how to break the news of "hey we're in hell for the entertainment of the damned." But Jay was a sassy piece of shit at her which allowed her to be a sassy piece of shit back and that made everything a lot easier, honestly. She found him relatable which made it easier for her to like him and start to feel comfortable with him.
Then Betrayal house happened, and he was with her in her first run and he gave her some of his items, which surprised her but also she appreciated. She credits Jay and Joker with helping her get through the house sane, really. Him showing her the chapel was a great bonding experience because they got to be angry teenagers and break things and then make out in a confessional, which is honestly the best way to deal with trauma and murder right?
She also appreciated how straightforward he was about asking to make out. Like even if it was half joking there was no preamble or attempt and cheesy pick up lines it was just "hey wanna make out?" which made it easier for her to just admit to herself "yeah, I think he's hot, I'd be down to kiss him" and so she did and it was good. It was a good way to end round one of a bad game. Their next round together was worrying because he was possessed and acting a little off, but he and Joker still worked to help her which, again, she super appreciated.
Then AFTER Betrayal he went MIA for a couple of days, which. She worried about a bit, but also didn't want to bug him to come back before he was ready. If he's the type that needs time to himself after something like that, then it's legit. They all have ways of coping with bad games. When he came back she was relieved, but then he had his blow up with Talon, which...again was worrying. So she went to check on him later and they ended up having sex. And while Silk honestly thought of it as casual sex, there were kind of already feelings developing there because what spurred her to go to his room was concern more than lust. It's just that he was shirtless and the lust became very distracting, but there were definitely soft feelings in there somewhere.
They also bonded a bit more during fanmail, which was good. She checked up on him and he opened up to her a bit and then they headed up to the roof to hang out which was a nice sort of segue into the stuff that happened in monster bingo.
Silk definitely went hard in monster bingo but she also like would have been perfectly willing to fill every possible square with Jay if she could have. When they were both vampires she definitely wanted him to bite her because, well...she likes biting. But there was also a bit of feeling like "if we're going to be biting other people, I also want us to bite each other" which is kind of...moving into having more serious feelings. So, later in the thread where he was human and he reassured her about Maki she was just kind of ripe for a critical hit in the feelings, and it was so funny because her surprise and the blushing was definitely her being like "...shit I'm doomed."
Which is why she gave him a soft kiss later in the thread, and why she was willing to talk openly about it after the game, because it was just kind of like...accepting her fate. Okay, she actually really likes him. A lot. She could try to pretend she doesn't but she's not very good at that and also it would probably just make her (and maybe both of them) miserable, and that would really ruin things, which she didn't want to do.
So as it stands at the moment she is on the one hand terrified because she has no idea what she's doing and the only other time she's felt something like this was with Oni who died horribly in a game and was transferred right after, but on the other hand it's...nice? These are nice feelings and it feels nice to indulge them. She likes that he wants to spend time with her and she likes how she feels when she's with him. She's not sure she won't fuck up somehow, but also at the moment doesn't really want to worry about it. So she's kind of taking it one step at a time and letting herself enjoy it.

North considers Griffin a friend. She thinks he’s a little rough around the edges but, really, who isn’t in Imeeji? She hasn’t run into a significant difference of opinion that they couldn’t talk through, and even his most.... uh. Disturbing habits, he promised to stop when she pointed out that people tend to die violently all the time so maybe stop.
And then he is someone she can get into friendly competitions with. That’s awesome for her, when she tends to feel like she’s not taking anything seriously? He at least makes her feel like the stuff she’s taking seriously matters. And that it is good to cut loose.
She kind of wants to ask him for more punching lessons. She might after Betrayal, honestly.
