Can't believe you call me bullshit when you have superstrength.
[Guess they're going right into it, huh. Griffin tries to catch the fist as it goes for him, jerking backwards to reduce the impact to his gut - still hit, but not nearly enough to knock the wind of out him.
Gripping tight to Jay's arm so he couldn't get away, Griffin twists in to slam a kick to his side.]
But I'm -- [the kick goes to his side, and he takes it with a grunt. before utilizing that momentum, and Griffin's grip and lack of grounding to pull him off balance.
he angles his shoulder to complete the push, knocking straight into his sternum to fully knock him off his feet]
[Whup there goes gravity, oop there goes Griffin--
he lands on his back with a hard thud, but not before wrapping his legs around Jay's midsection and looping his arms around Jay's shoulder joint in a hasty armlock. If he could get the superior leverage on this tangle of limbs, it'd keep Jay from being able to get any real strikes in...]
You really wanted to be a wrestler in another life, huh?
[but he knows he'll have to stun him if he wants to keep his arm from getting trapped. maybe broken, he didn't exactly set limits on that. he has one free arm, while griffin has none. And he lets himself get pulled, before grabbing his elbow and slamming it down into griffin's midsection, while there's nothing there to stop him.
he brings his arm back up again, and he has to make a choice between stopping a second hit, or keeping him in the lock]
[He takes the hit again, but there's nothing to slow it down this time. Griffin just exhales and hardens his gut to weather the blow but it still fucking sucks!! Grunts with pain, but there's no way he's letting up on the lock now.
Instead he twists, trying to force Jay face-down into the mat. He has to disengage the legs around him, but they shift to pin him, half-straddling, half-kneel.]
but jason's not about to let him get him where he wants him, and shifts tactics. he lowers his head, and then slams it back into Griffin's face, leveraging the good 5 inches he has on him. sure, that hurts like a bitch for Jay too.
but Jay's never been afraid to get himself hurt.
And in that brief second when he feels the impact, he pulls his arm down, full strength. trying to take advantage of the momentary stunning he knew was about to happen]
[OW. IS HIS NOSE BROKEN? MAYBE!! There was like a crunch sound there somewhere-- Griffin reels back, his grip on Jay's arm loosening right as it's pulled away from him.
With Jay's upper body free, Griffin's only leverage was waist and lower then. He tangles his legs with Jay's in a constricting knot, determined that if he couldn't pin Jay to the floor, Jay sure as hell wasn't going to stand back up either.]
[this isn't hand to hand-- it's effective, but Griffin hasn't really tried to make a punch. just tried to stop him from moving. which is defeating the purpose. gotta make some punches in hand to hand, Griff, buddy.
he's immediately going to twist, and with a little leverage, suplex him back into the ground. he just needs a little room to get his legs free enough to stand--
then it's time to start goading griffin into actually punching.]
Day 191
Re: Day 191
Re: Day 191
Red Bull gives you wings: You had somewhere in mind?
Re: Day 191
FIRESTARTER: open space
FIRESTARTER: can probably take a beating
FIRESTARTER: sound good?
Re: Day 191
Red Bull gives you wings: See you there
[Later: Griffin's parked outside with his New! !~Motorcycle~! :D she's so beautiful.]
Re: Day 191
needs to buy one of those.
he's so jealous.]
You ready?
Re: Day 191
Griffin's got an eager grin as he hops off the bike]
Yeah, let's get this show rollin'.
Re: Day 191
Nice jacket.
[he's going to keep it simple before heading inside to the gym, okay]
Go shopping recently?
Re: Day 191
I mean-- it was Christmas.
Still got all these Points burning a hole in my pocket though.

[look he's broke, but he ain't gonna say it. he's headed straight to the training room though, and first thing he's doing is sloughing off his jacket.
because he's tired of buying new clothes!!!!]
So, ground rules.
no subject
Griffin shuffles off his jacket too, tossing it onto a nearby gym rack.]
No powers, check. What else?
no subject
no subject
But fine. No swords.
no subject
Anyway, that's the big rule.
[time to tilt his neck from side to side-- limber up.]
no subject
[He stretches his shoulders, his back. Turns his upper body from side to side to loosen his muscles.]
no subject
But, hey, you won't get all of my bullshit abilities either. Seems fair, right?
[he cracks his knuckles lightly, and then time to lunch forward, aiming for a gut punch.
no need to go for the knockout hit just yet]

Plenty strong without it.

Griffin gets thrown to the side, but at least he's landing on practice mats and not, like, pavement.
He gets up and wipes his nose - a bit of blood there!! Welp.]
