THE LOST DAYS... Round 1.

It's all darkness.

The feeling of nothingness, of being nothing. Of not existing. You have no thoughts, you will never have any thoughts again. While that fact is not comforting, because you cannot be comforted anymore, it is true.

There's a certain rest to being... nothing. And to both knowing and not knowing, that your time is done.

So it's all the more unfortunate when you feel, because you shouldn't feel. And the feeling is burning in your lungs, which you shouldn't have. Because you are- or were- nothing.

And then, you inhale a desperate gasp of air and open your eyes...

[ pressed up against him, she finally lets her half-muffled voice waver a little. ]

[he holds out a bottle.]

Can you spray this on the flowers? It'll kill 'em dead.

[ She jerks back—not out of his arms entirely, but the recoil is in sharp contrast with how at ease she's been with everything up until now. ]

Kill them? No no no, Jason-senpai, we can't kill them. They're... you know. They're you.

[ she takes a breath, and straightens, more resolute ]

If someone's trying to Nettle you or something, we have to get you balanced again, not make it so you don't have Flowers at all. It's fine—see!

[ She pulls up the corner of her shirt to show her own(?) tattoo: aconite and lotus curling up over one bony hip—though there are a few other blooms mixed in: tiny star of bethlehem snowdrops and buds of wild roses.
Kiri frowns a moment, briefly puzzled, then shrugs. ]

What I mean is: I've got aconite too. It's as much part of the world as all the other flowers. It's alright to love it just as much.

I was worried, at first—that maybe you touched a flower, and it was becoming so strong in you, it was like you were only aconite, and not Jason-senpai.

I'll protect your flowers, though. I promise.

I mean, sure. I got anger issues. It's a problem. One that's never gonna change, and that I don't want to change.

I just want a better way of dealing with 'em. Instead of being at war with myself.

[he reaches in to his pockets to pull out what looks like a small seed? but it's not quite. It's mechanical.]

I need you to pass a communicator to a guy known as Red Hood. Just ask everyone if they're Jason, and he'll pretty quickly correct you.

He's kinda proud of it.

Where can I find Red Hood? All I've seen so far was a hole I got pushed in, and I'm not sure how to get back, either.

How about this-- I'll guide him to you. Leave that much to me, since he likes to wander around.

...How come you can't give it to him? I mean! I can definitely do it, but if you know how to find him...

You don't have to give me an easy job to make me feel better or something.

We only "sometimes" get along.
