It's all darkness.

The feeling of nothingness, of being nothing. Of not existing. You have no thoughts, you will never have any thoughts again. While that fact is not comforting, because you cannot be comforted anymore, it is true.

There's a certain rest to being... nothing. And to both knowing and not knowing, that your time is done.

So it's all the more unfortunate when you feel, because you shouldn't feel. And the feeling is burning in your lungs, which you shouldn't have. Because you are- or were- nothing.

And then, you inhale a desperate gasp of air and open your eyes...

Just pulls them back with strength she definitely has. But Red Hood is just laughing, unsettlingly.]

[Obviously he jerks away from Talia, but that's alright.

there are steps coming from behind them-- from where, it's not even clear.

But as those steps draw closer, their feelings seem to modulate, and return to what they should be.

There's red hood, on one side. And then Jason on the other. Except he's beaten-- like a man who's lost so many fights, as scars litter his body, while bandages patch up the still healing wounds.

He sighs in frustration.]

This shit, again? Kiri, it too late to say maybe we shouldn't fight right now?

['Protect Jason' goes without saying, because of course he would. He levels his prosthetic at the two of them.]

[The underside of his wrist opens up and a grappling hook shoots out, grapping Hellfire and yoinking her away from the injured Jason. He's going to try and whip her into the walls of the cavern, if he can.]

[ As the foreign feelings fade out, it's a new struggle to re-assess the situation and scramble for a plan. He settles for keeping his aim fixed firmly on the green-tinted Jason that Hellfire appeared with, trying to move between him and Griffin as quick as he can ]

[well Red Hood starts to see that movement but Nero's too quick.

So, instead he moves for Nero, neatly sliding under him and grabbing his wrist to pin his right hand behind his back, and then leveraging that to shove him into the wall.

Jason starts to move, but then collapses in pain as his shoulder starts gushing from a mysterious wound.]

I'm so sick of this shit.

[Kiri for her part, becomes Aware. There is a role to every part here. She can tell that there is Jason-senpai. But that Red Hood is supposed to listen to him. That he is counting on that, and that because Red Hood wants to fight him, it means that Jason won't be well in the real world]

[Okay well Nero gets a 5 on his toughness roll so he's not strong enough to push Red Hood off of him - but if he's being pinned, then that means Hood can't focus his attention on Jason.

At least he wasn't alone.]

[ Talon's already moving by the time Nero shouts. He abandons the crossbow to avoid shooting Griffin, and throws himself into a front handspring so he can use the momentum to launch a double-kick at Red Hood, trying to dislodge or stun him. ]

[she sees it before it happens-- the jason she spoke to, getting shot in the head, and then the wound opening up on the Jason in front of her.

Which, it all happens so fast. Red Hood gets knocked out, and blood is gushing from Jason, where he is back against the wall. he slides down, a trail of blood flowing from his head.

and he looks... pale, and weak. And finally, wetly,]

[ Talon scrambles to his feet, staying tense for a few beats in case Hood gets back up. He only looks away when Jason speaks, and he might've looked pale and stressed before but color still finds a way to drain out of his face. He's racing back across the room before he's even fully registered how much blood there is ]

[ Hellfire doesn't weigh much, and the power behind the grappling shot easily whips her off her feet. She hits the walls of the caves with a sound like scraping steel before falling to the ground, a little chip of broken metal clinking beside her.

As her vision blurs, she something starts to click. ]
